History

From 1991 to 1993,  job seekers in need of help had to travel to Valleyfield, Longueuil or LaSalle to receive the services of a Job Search Club. The Employment Center of Canada in Chateauguay used this time to evaluate the service and its efficiency. After this period, the Job Search Club of LaSalle was asked to set up a branch in Chateauguay, with a counsellor from the LaSalle office becoming Director and creating a non-profit agency.

The participants' success and the exemplary techniques offered by the Job Search Club of Chateauguay gained the attention of the Employment Center in Brossard, and in 1995 Emploi Québec requested that a second branch be opened in Brossard. Some employees from the Chateauguay office were transferred to Brossard, and the results exceeded expectations by far. Since then, the Job Search Club of Chateauguay/Brossard has been able to adapt, adjusting the services offered in regards to the changing needs of its clientele.
